About Method

How the method works

Adjusting his/her voice to the sounding standard while singing a person should listen attentively to the performance of the song by the teacher and his own voice at the same time, analyze and correct his sounding right during the performance.

You have to adjust your voice:

  • in height
  • in volume
  • in tempo
  • in rhythm
  • in timbre

This process requires well-developed auditory concentration!

How quickly results are achieved

The first results from the classes are noticeable in a month after their beginning:
Children who did not produce sounds at all or produced isolated sounds start making vowel-like and syllable-like emotional vocalizations
Children and adolescents who have already spoken, after a month of singing lessons begin to actively use the full dynamic range of their voice, change the timbre of their voice, their speech becomes smoother, emotional, natural sounding.

What the method develops

Singing along with the teacher’s voice develops:

1. Auditory attention

2. Auditory memory

3. Phonological awareness

4. Musicality

5. Vocal recognition and cognitive perception of intonation and emotions in others speech

6. Improved efficiency in detection and comprehension of speech amongst other sources of sound

7. The ability to manipulate one’s pronunciation and speech by listening to oneself

8. Speech breathing

9. The Skill to determine and manipulate the volume and pitch of the voice

10. Articulation (mobility, arbitrary control)

11. Clarity and coherence of pronunciation

12. Fluency in the rhythmic structure of speech

13. The natural timbre of the voice

14. Tempo of speech

How the method is applied

For 20 weeks, once a week, the teacher conducts a half-hour session (online or in person, individually or in a group)
Each week a song from a specially created cycle is learned in class. At each session a new song is learned with the teacher, even though the previous song may not have been learned yet, and 1-3 songs from previous sessions are repeated
Every day at home the CI user listens to an audio recording of the teacher singing a song, watches a video recording of the teacher singing and sings with the teacher for at least 15 minutes. Young children are helped by their parents. In order to achieve results, it is important to sing together with the reference sound (the teacher), adjusting your voice by ear to the teacher’s voice. When singing together with the video, this adjustment is automatic
